Retro core (parser, validator, CLI, /retro skill, language specification) is licensed under Apache License 2.0 — free for any use including commercial. Relay is source-available under the Business Source License 1.1 (BSL 1.1) with automatic conversion to Apache 2.0 after three years — free for non-production, development, research, and internal tooling, while reserving commercial production rights during the BSL term. Future commercial tooling around Retro built by Tensorpunk Labs (e.g. hosted visual companion, enterprise dashboards) may ship under BSL 1.1 in clearly-marked separate packages. Lattice licensing will be finalized at its public launch.
